October 1st brought our second meeting this semester, and with it came a whole bunch more useful info for engineers on how to enhance their experience at college and prepare for their next step towards their B.S. in their respective fields. The Bat House project was discussed by Prof. Jerry Reed. Opportunities abound for students who want to get involved and it's a great experience to put on your college resume. Also, Prof. Reed talked about a class he's teaching in the Spring on Physical Computing. For those who want to work with Arduino or translate their computing abilities into real world application, this is the class for you. Then we were taken on a tour of the facilities of Building 11's energy saving design and technology, including the cable-drive elevator, the CO2 monitors and the online monitoring that is done across all campuses. Tons of information at every meeting. What are you working on?
