Monday : Faculty Recognition Day
Luigi, Barry and Marc set up a table in the atrium of Building 11 and encouraged engineering students to thank any professors on West Campus they felt were influential or particularly helpful in their pursuit of an engineering degree.
Tuesday: Science Fair & Showcase
With a number of participants, so many cool and innovating ideas took center stage for the three hour showcase in Building 11, room 106. Our panel of judges were Dr. Kar, Dr. Macon and Professor Moronta. Exhibits were judged on several categories, including total cost, degree of difficulty and knowledge displayed. Congratulations to all of our winners!
Wednesday: K-12 Service Learning Day
IEEE organized a day of pairing engineering students with middle school students and taught them about conducting circuits. Fun was had by all!
Thursday: Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day
NSBE organized a panel of women engineers to speak to engineering students about the challenges facing women in the predominantly male-oriented engineering world.
Friday: Engineer's Week Barbecue
On the patio of the cafeteria, engineering students were treated to a relaxing afternoon of Bubbalou's Bodacious Barbecue and fellowship. Mmmm....
Saturday: Adult Swim Volunteering at the Orlando Science Center
A 21+ event where science is addressed and all your questions are answered.
